Samba Jive Retires, Deployed To A New Role

Eswatini Legend and long-serving Mbabane Swallows player Wonder “Samba Jive” Nhleko has retired from football and has since been assigned a new role within Mbabane Swallows.

This was confirmed by the club’s Communications and Marketing Manager Manqoba Mabuza in a statement that was released on the Mbabane Swallows official Facebook Page on Wednesday.

Mabuza also revealed that Nhleko will remain a Mbabane Swallows Resource as the club’s President sanctioned his deployment to Head of Development.

“Wonder remains a Bird. Accordingly, the Club President has sanctioned the immediate deployment of Nhleko as Head of Development at Mbabane Swallows FC,” read the online statement.

Mabuza also revealed that Nhleko had had long expressed interest in a coaching career, hence Mbabane Swallows financed his coaching training courses. He added that the club will continue enhancing his technical capacity by continuing with financing his coaching training courses, understanding senior coaches at the club, and working with them.
